Calshot Youth Ski

About the club

Calshot Youth Ski Club is operated independently of Calshot Activities Centre but using their ski slopes.

Aimed at those aged 7 – 21, we are an ideal club for anyone wishing to learn or improve their skiing. We can also take young people who have completed either the Burners, Fast Track or Improver courses at Calshot Activities Centre. It is also suitable for those looking for a course longer than 3 or 6 weeks, or going on a ski holiday with school, family or friends.

Past members have gone on to race in Junior Squads at home and abroad, joined the Club’s instructional team and gained BASI qualifications.

Our season starts after the October half term and continues until Easter, excluding school holiday weeks. We meet on Thursdays  from 7.30pm – 8.30pm for a total of around 20 meetings. Membership is for a minimum of approximately six weeks. Non-skiers should join for the start of one of our courses (in November or January). It may be possible to join partway through a ski course if you are able to complete at least a basic turn.

Benefits

We celebrate progress made with Snowsport England’s Snowlife Awards and by holding ski races from after the February half-term until the end of the season. Slalom racing is an opportunity to end the season with a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal!

The Club is popular, with membership spaces often quickly filled.

Every evening is fun, so why not come along and join us!
